A marriage is a melting pot between two different people with different background, culture, and habbit. The differences complete each other, yet it's not always easy to deal with. For a binational couple like us, some differences are quite extrem. A wedding ceremony in mosque might be quite uncommon in Germany. In Indonesia, it is exactly the opposite way around.
We decided to marry in a turkish mosque in Kaiserslautern. For this, Dwi can't thank Matthias enough, and also his family for their support.

We both also want to thank Mr. Izzetin Asan, the imam in the mosque, and Mr. Ali Bayar for helping us to translate from german to turkish and vice versa.
More than only that, they also help to arrange a small celebration in the mosque after the ceremony. For this, we also would like to ask for your help! We need several snacks/finger food, so if you're willing to contribute, we will be very grateful! Please contact us for this.
Some of our guests wonder what to wear to attend a wedding ceremony in a mosque. Basically, there's no specific dress code, any appropriate cloth will do. With "appropriate" we mean something you'd wear to go to, let's say...church. You don't need to wear veil a.k.a Kopftuch, but please don't wear something like mini skirt or tanktop. They are, in this term, considered as "inappropriate".
